Victoria was suffering with back pain. She had been to a chiropractor before but it hadn't been a great experience. Fortunately for us and Victoria, her mum recommended us and we were able to provide the treatment she so desperately needed.

About Your Treatment

What was the main reason for your visit to Andy Davies Chiropractic?
I had a really bad back and my mother recommended me to see Andy, I have been to a chiropractor before and that wasn't the best experience.

How long had you been experiencing this issue before seeking treatment?
Two weeks but had had this issue before.

Have you previously tried other treatments for this issue? If so, what were they, and how did they compare?
I have been to a chiropractor before and didn't feel any effects from it. I have rheumatoid arthritis, and I have been told previously nothing can be done but I knew this pain wasn't part of my arthritis.

Did you feel that your concerns were listened to and understood during your consultation?
Yes, I felt listened to better than my previous experience and also better than some doctors I've seen with my arthritis.

Your Experience with the Treatment

How would you describe the treatment you received?
The treatment I have received has been 10 out of 10. Andy kept seeing me after my back pain went away and I have only had two small flare ups since October whereas normally I would have at least one a month and two big flare ups which would last longer than seven days.

Did Andy explain your diagnosis and treatment plan clearly?
Yes, he explained it very well. I know he cannot cure my arthritis but with him aligning and manipulating it's helping to take the pressure of something which helps keep my arthritis at bay. 

Did you feel comfortable and at ease during your appointment?
Extremely comfortable and at ease. 

How soon did you start noticing improvements in your condition?
I noticed improvements with my back problem after my second session. He does give you homework to make you think more about how you are moving your body and to make adjustments if needed. We do take things for granted when we have done something for so long thinking that it’s not the problem when it could be.

Were you given any advice or exercises to do at home? If so, how helpful have they been?
Andy explained the issues. No specific exercises given - just be more vigilant when moving my body day-to-day as I could be doing something which I never thought would be an issue. 

Your Overall Satisfaction

How satisfied are you with the results of your treatment?
Very satisfied.

Do you feel that the treatment has improved your overall quality of life?
I know Andy cannot cure my arthritis, but I am not taking anywhere near as much pain medication as I was and I can now make plans, whereas before I would have to wait until the day to see how I was feeling. Andy had given me a new lease of life.

Would you recommend Andy Davies Chiropractic to others? If so, what would you tell them?
Yes, I would. Andy is very understanding and never judges. He sees a problem and tries to fix it given what he is told. I would advise everyone to be honest with the info you give him - if he knows the whole truth he can help you 100%. What Andy has done for me I can't put into words. If he can do this for others it would make so many lives better. I am not saying he can help with everyone’s arthritis, or other issues, but Andy is definitely worth a try.

Nothing at all.

Do you have any other comments or thoughts you'd like to share?
I just want Andy to know how I appreciate his hard work and that he didn't just brush my arthritis off as most do and that nothing can be done. Andy always listens to me and liked to know what worked for me and what didn't from our previous sessions. This is how he knows he is on the right track.
